#Week 10 Podcasting and YouTube

Week 10, the final week. I went to Podcast alley and subscribed to two feeds, one called "Music & coffee" (Music & Coffee is a new channel covering 'everything music.' Grab a cup of coffee or your beverage of choice and listen to the latest news, interviews, discussions and more. ) and also one called the UC Radio Podshow (UC Radio is a Los Angeles based music podcast, produced by a survivor of the 80s and 90s Hollywood rock scene. Twice a week you get shows that include that best podsafe and indie music available, music news, hot political topics, strange current events and on Thursdays, an album referral to help you put todays music in perspective by understanding the roots of rock and roll. Volume is Good so Turn it Up!!!) It was easy to do this, and again great to have all of these links in one place. I also subscribed to the triple j radio podcast through their homepage. I think that i will continue to use these feeds to listen to podcasts, as i have been wanting to do so for a while, especially the jjj one.

I have used You Tube quiet a bit before to find music clips etc but it was interesting to see what else is available. I watched the preview for New Moon, based on the book by Stephenie Meyer:

and Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland trailer:

I can think of a few ideas for using You tube as a work tool, we could video storytime and put them online, or also author talks. In this way it could become another way of publicizing the library service and what we have available.
